Graphics/Driver Issue

by eunan1981 / October 17, 2007 4:49 AM PDT

My Compaq Pc is having graphic issues. I have checked Device Manager and there is an exclamation mark beside Graphics so it seems there is an issue with the driver. However I have no original cd's to reinstall driver and driver wizard unable to resolve issue. O/S is Windows 2000.
Where in 2000 can you find out the make/type etc of the graphics card so i can go and try download the driver??
Or is this the best solution?
Any help appreciated as with no cds - i dont know what to do
Thanks.

With no CDs it can be painful.

But to find the model card I usual pull it out and ID it. Then I go to it's maker's website and get the driver.

Maybe.

But I always open it up since those boxes that never get opened need it so they can get their yearly dusting and cleaning.

You can see if EVEREST or BELARC ADVISOR identifies the card (see google) but I like the visual method since I don't like to install what I don't need to use all the time.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
