graphics card question

Jan 24, 2005 3:59AM PST

hi,

i am trying to decide on my first laptop and was wondering if it is possible to replace graphics card of a notebook after a while? Like puchase an off the shelf card as you do for desktops and plug it in? I read reviews about sound cards, but I guess graphics card replacement might be a harder thing to do due to heating considerations and such.
Any ideas?

thanks
