Question

Graphics card not detected by PES 2013

Mar 25, 2017 10:57AM PDT

I have NVIDIA GeForce GT 740M in my PC....I have switched to Windows 10 from Windows 8....And it seems like the graphic card is working fine but PES 2013 is not detecting the card and throwing the error: "your system doesnt meet minimum requirements". I could also see the card listed in Device Manager. Can anyone help????

Clarification Request
why did you assume the problem...

...is related to your graphics card instead of some other cause?

Answer
It is certified for use in W8

Found the solution but not the cause!!

Real thanks for the response buddy....I found the solution. I had a backup of the graphics driver installation file which was a version for Windows 8. Just installed it on Windows 10. It worked. But still, not sure why has this issue occurred. Shouldn't PES 2013 support the latest NVIDIA graphics driver version?....is it a fault with NVIDIA?

Sorry but I have to go with no.

Why? Because drivers evolve and can break a game now and then. The game company has to fix that.

Agreed....But?

Yes Indeed....and since they have ruled out the game they won't fix it. But my curiosity is : Does the game simply checks into the graphic version numbers?

As you suspect

I can't answer as I don't know how the company coded that up.
