Graphics Card Installation

Jul 11, 2014 3:07AM PDT

The instructions for replacing my graphics card say to uninstall the current driver but I want to know if disabling it instead will give the same effect. Also, won't my screen go black if I disable it?

It might. But undoing that is usually simple.

Also, don't take much stake/issue with the uninstall old drivers. Rarely is an issue and with some onboard systems you want to leave them installed. Long story so I'll stop here.

New Card
Jul 12, 2014 4:39AM PDT

I just installed a new card yesterday and it works great. I noticed too that it runs about 15 degrees Celsius cooler than the previous card which leads me to thinking that overheating was the problem in the first place
