Question

Graphics Card for multiple monitors

Sep 4, 2016 9:31PM PDT

I'm thinking about replacing my video card. I'm running three 24 in LED monitors. I was having some issues with getting a BOD about twice a week but since I've put an external fan blowing into
the case and directed at the video card I've not had one. I did have some dust inside but not a lot. The BOD was the atikmpag.sys video driver.
Anyway, I don't play games and mostly use my pc for work from home doing bookings for companies through a VPN. Sometimes I have 6 windows open on two monitors with the third one for notes only. I'll list the specs and if you have any thoughts on if I need a faster video card or one that will run cooler or without the video driver that may give me BOD again. My goal is to speed up my screen wrights. I'm already running the fastest upload/download available for my area so there's not much option left.

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-6100 Six-Core Processor 3.30 GHz
Ram 14 Gb
Video: Radeon HD 7570
Win 7 64 bit.

From what I've read this video card is not very fast, but I would like some other opinions. My two goals are faster screens with no BOD's. Video card, motherboard, which ever it takes I can't have BOD's while working.
Thanks,

Depending on your budget.
Shop for a gtx 750ti.
Just be sure it has the proper output ports to feed your monitors.

I don't know what sort of mis-mash you have for ram sticks but 14GB seems like an odd amount.
I would think that 2X4GB of matched sticks put in the proper slots for dual channel would give you better perf.

Thanks Bob for the quick reply. I thought that I had all matched ram sticks but I guess I don't. I have all four slots filled (2 banks of 2). The system came with the 4+2 so I added the other 4+4. I'm wondering if the performance would be worth it to replace the 2 stick with a 4 stick for 16 total ?
From what I found comparing My video card to the GTX 750ti it would be an all around winner in performance. Feel free to reply if you would like.
Thanks again,

Whatever you do with the ram is your call.
Make sure that all sticks are the same make and model.
I still think that a 2X4GB kit fitted in the proper slots for dual channel is more than ample for your needs.

I noticed that there is also the SC(super clocked) and the FTW version of the 750ti, would they be of any noticeable performance gain over the 750ti ?

For your needs of displaying static screens the stock card should be ample.

The nice thing about this card is it's 60w.
Your removing a 60w card and replacing it with a 60w card.
No fuss-in with the psu.
