Question

Grand Mosque in Mecca Struck by God?!

Sep 11, 2015 2:50PM PDT

An opportune punishment for the violence Islam is spreading around the world? Or just an accident of no significance? Hmm.....

87 Muslims killed by huge crane crashing down on the Grand Mosque in Jeddah.

"Amateur footage posted on social media appears to have captured the moment a crane collapsed on the Grand Mosque in the Muslim holy city of Mecca, killing at least 87 people.

It is not known what caused the accident, but the unverified footage shows people walking calmly before a loud crashing sound is heard.

Mecca is currently preparing for the annual Muslim Hajj pilgrimage."

My condolences to any who were "peace loving" non "radical" Muslims who have never danced in the streets nor expressed joy over the destruction of the World Towers in NYC, or the beheading of Americans, but only to those, if such among those killed and injured exist.

PS. This is meant to be an answer to James' post "Amuse yourself thinking that". It's about his dreams about some future happening. But the forum software seems to make it an answer to JP.

OR

Obviously you didn't notice it was a PS to another post AND it the post it was attached to ...there was an explanation on exactly how this individual would operate a crockpot while there is a POWER outage.

Does that make YOU a "typical conservative"?

IF you want further details of the POWER outage scenario...Ask James Denison...It's his crockpot, and he is the one I pictured hugging the crockpot.

A postscript (P.S.) is an afterthought, thought of occurring after the letter has been written and signed.[1] The term comes from the Latin post scriptum, an expression meaning "written after"[2][3] (which may be interpreted in the sense of "that which comes after the writing").

why have two cranes opposing each other instead of both cranes enhancing each other
when it comes down to it , it's the operators fault .
Maybe they weren't trained and just did what they were told to do .
Crane operators would not have made that pick

Ask Oregon and Colorado and Washington how things are working out for legalizing weed...

At least with depression and other drugs that are legal, there have been plenty of studies done with warning labels about how it cause people to commit suicide.....with all the 'studies' done regarding weed, the liberals don't care what the end results are, they just want what they want when they want it.

They DO put "warning labels" on MJ....but they catch fire when being inhaled.

Is suicide one of the side affects of marijuana?

there have been plenty of studies done

NO studies? ...378,000links?

they just want what they want when they want it.

700 more killed in Mecca
Sep 24, 2015 11:16AM PDT

There was a religious stampede in Mecca this week which killed 700 of the faithful pilgrims. That's turning into quite the place to die it seems. It seems they'd all brought rocks and stones to the mosque there to stone a "devil". My guess is they started stoning each other and that prompted the stampede which finished off many others who didn't get stoned, or wanted a better position for throwing their stones.

http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/24/middleeast/stampede-hajj-pilgrimage/

"A stampede during one of the last rituals of the Hajj season -- the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca -- has killed more than 700 people and injured 800 others in Saudi Arabia.

The stampede occurred Thursday morning during the ritual known as "stoning the devil" in the tent city of Mina, about 2 miles from Mecca, Islam's holiest city.

Footage taken just after the stampede -- obtained by CNN Arabic -- shows a disturbing scene. Bodies piled upon bodies, a few moving, but most appearing lifeless. Workers in hard hats and reflective vests can be seen working the edges of the pile of faithful, pulling dead bodies away to get to those who are still alive. "

more symbolic than actual stoning it seems
Sep 25, 2015 6:27AM PDT

Saw some video and looks like they toss small pebbles instead of rocks and stones. Also tossed at a wall, although I guess a few could get beaned by a pebble or two at times. Seems however it was at a different gathering point just beside the stoning place where the "stampede" took place, but it was less "stampede" and more a "crushing", sort of like happens at stores here on Black Friday.

Sep 25, 2015 7:04AM PDT

You actually thought this "stoning/pebbling" wasn't "symbolic"?

I'm a long way from a "religious person" and even I knew it was "symbolic".

Aren't most religious services "symbolic"...like eating a wafer and drinking wine?

What about beheadings?
Sep 25, 2015 7:29AM PDT

Are they not, too, performed in religious ceremonial fashion? Then beheadings might be symbolic and performed just to relive old practices just for show? For an answer you go to those who engage in them. Get back to us after you've done so. As to your own example, you'd need to ask each person as to their understanding of what takes place. Again...do your own survey and report back your findings.

Here are the last four sentences in your post...no questions were asked..

For an answer you go to those who engage in them. Get back to us after you've done so. As to your own example, you'd need to ask each person as to their understanding of what takes place. Again...do your own survey and report back your findings.

RE: Then beheadings might be symbolic and performed just to relive old practices just for show?

Just for show?...not to dispense justice?...Some electrocute, some shoot, Some gas, Some hang, Some inject poison.

Symbolic beheading? I'll bet they don't volunteer the second time, probably can't....they want to...but they don't have the head for it, they have the stomach...but not the head.

Sorry you're "not qualified"

Symbolic beheading...behead a corpse....an animal....a head of lettuce?

I've seen people flogging themselves with little twigs....I haven't seen anyone willingly getting someone else to do the "symbolic flogging" with any amount of force.

I've NEVER heard of a "symbolic beheading" until now....Do they use a intelligent real person or dummy/martyr that is a real person?

I've already done that...in the above post with this subject line/heading RE; more symbolic than actual stoning it seems

RE: What about beheadings?

NOW you're just playing head games.

You object to the Time/Place of the carrying out of punishment for committing a crime?

You object to "beheading" as a punishment?

You object to "public" executions?

Electrocution, injection, hanging or shooting (American executions) are more "humane? Are they not, too, performed in religious ceremonial fashion?
