You may have to ask a friend or someone, most "Help you" A/V services out there are just for set-up/hooking-up & calibration, Not teaching you how to work your remote, because there are soooo many diffrent set-ups out there people can have.
Forget about what each of the buttons do, my 2 yamaha receivers remotes both probly have about 75 buttons each, but I only use 10, so find the few ones you NEED, Power, Input (BD, Sat/Cable, Ipod, Tuner ect....), Volume & Menu.
Just Slow Down, open up the manuals & you having most of the stuff being the same brands will helps you out a lot, too.
I bought myself a Pioneer Kuro Elite Pro-150-FD Plasma Display, Pioneer VSX-94THX Receiver and a Pioneer Blu-Ray player BDP-95-FD.
Too impatient to wait for an "expert" I set this system up myself.
I have had NO previous experience. The biggest problem I have faced and continue to face is there are multiple ways to connect. It took me a month to figure that out. ...And the buttons on the remote(S) have mutible functions.
...And Pioneer who is very helpful when I call tech support, never-the-less each tech has their favorite way to connect coupled with varying degrees of knowlege about my specific system and how it is connected.
So heaven forbid when I can't get sound and or a picture on one of the periphials or another it takes me forever and lots of frustration to finally get back on track after pushing this button or that. I HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE.
Now the answer for me, is to have a REAL expert (where do I find one?)hook me up in the most advantageous way to view and hear my great system AND explain to me in language I would understand (I think I am smart enough) the "process" that is taking place with each button that I use to accomplish getting a picture and sound.
My second question is there a "display remote" that would have pictures of all of the functions that would allow me to access my systems without jumping through hoops?...And a person to show me how to use it.
I use an ipod, my Plasma Display, Tuner/Speakers, Blu-ray/DVD, and my Wii. Please help before my system is obsolete.
