What resolution is the Blu-Ray player and game console's menu set to send?
Is it sending a 1080p signal? You can check to see what the incoming signal is by pressing the INFO button on the remote.
If it's lower than 720p, (like 480), raise the resolution in your source players (Blu-Ray and game console)
I just watched some Bluray films (Shrek 3D) and, at first, the image was perfect, with no blur or visible grain.
Then I decided to try GT5 3D mode on my Playstation 3. The problem is that the Image is extremely grainy. Tried 2D mode, 3D mode but it's always the same. Tried changing HDMI cable and it still the same.
I have a Denon 2311 receiver so in order to avoid any problems with 3D calibration I set the receiver to pass through the 3D image with no filter, adjustment or upscaling. So the exactly same image that the Ps3 sends to the receiver is the image that the receiver sends to the TV.
I first thought that this could be a problem with the source signal because then I press MENU button on the receiver while playing the Ps3 the Receiver GUI menu looks perfect, with no Grain. But if press the TV MENU button instead (also while playing Ps3) the TV Menu looks as grainy as the Ps3 image. It the problem was in the source signal, why the TV menu would also look grainy?
Could someone help me?
