Apr 5, 2018 7:42PM PDT

GPS not working on my htc desire 816. It has android 6.0 and not rooted. I have tried all gps status and fix app but it is in vain. So what should be the problem? Gps can be turn on but in map application or other gps fix application gps can not be fix and it showing no gps. And this situation persist in all places.

Could be a hardware issue....

The internal GPS component could be damaged/broken. Is the phone still in warranty? I doubt if it is damaged/broken that it would be economical to attempt to repair.

Have you tried to do a system restore on the phone? If you haven't already done so, do a system backup before restoring the device.

Good luck.

https://www.gsmarena.com/htc_desire_816-6073.php gives me it does have GPS but as on all Androids you have to turn it on. I am encountering new and old users that didn't know this.

The age is old enough to see failures. Have the phone checked out at the usual service counter or guru buddy.
