GPS for already screen display in car... ANYONE????

Feb 20, 2008 3:29AM PST

I need a GPS system that has little, or better yet... no built in screen... and also video out capabilities...

SO ALL of the people with an LCD display inside your car, can be able to use it as a GPS system too...

the non-existant device should look like an mp3 player with little or no screen, with RCA video out... and buttons of course... powered by whatever...

ANYONE KNOWS ANYTHING LIKE THIS?

There was a small handheld that could do that...

But it's over 4 grand. It's called the UMPC and you slip the GPS card into it...

Most of the newer PDAs can be used as excellent GPS devices. I've got a friend who uses one. Many of those PDAs have a video out or at least a USB connection.
Take a look. You might find what you're looking for at around the same price as a plain GPS system.
