GPS enabled smartphones vs handhelds, or gps anything else

Oct 29, 2004 3:26AM PDT

I am a pc and tech novice [at best], and I am in need of a gps enabled device that I can take with me in my car as I travel. I have works suite 2002 with streets and trips etc. on it, and have seen the software for works suite 2005 with gps enabled software, to be used with either a "smartphone" or a "handheld". I am not able to spend too much money on this venture, but I need to get something that will work well! I need reccomendations for the best way to have a gps enabled device in my car with me as I travel, HELP!
