Question

Got New SSD Windows 10 and pc acting up

Oct 27, 2018 8:53PM PDT
Before I start, I want to clarify some things to rid some confusion.

My old SSD broke randomly so I bought a new SSD.

I do not own a dedicated boot drive and only use one SSD for my computer.

All my drivers are up to date

I use a stolen version of Windows education from a local university. (One of my parents works there)

PC Specs:

Intel 6700k

Corsair h100i

Msi Z170A sli plus

Evga ftw 1070 ftw

EVGA supernova 850w gold

The version of Windows 10 was older so I had to update it.

After reinstalling windows from a flash drive on my computer it took 5 hours to redownload. I updated all my drivers so everything worked.

After downloading windows it seemed completely normal, I re-downloaded everything. After a day, my web browser did not work and said it took to long to respond (I had a secure connection). The odd thing about my connection was I had previously downloaded steam the other night as well as discord, they both worked fine, I could play online games perfectly. I tried changing my dns to 8.8.8.8 for chrome but it did not work. My browser did not work but Steam and discord worked fine. Also, my computer became very laggy and had a long input delay. My computer would often freeze for 30 seconds randomly quite often, although I should have no performance issues looking at my specs. I keeping getting performance issues suddenly and I can not connect to on internet.

Thanks,

PCMR
