If it is a genuine, untampered Samsung software disc, it SHOULD be fine.
You need a video editor that can handle MPEG2. Sony, Corel, Adobe, etc. all fit the bill in that area. As a quick side note, Vista supports MPEG2 natively in Windows Movie Maker.
I just got a samsung camcorder, SC-DX103, and I was downloaded everything on the disk except for the codec. It said the windows logo has not approved its compatibility or something like that. I wanted to know if it is safe to download on Windows XP.
Second of all, I was able to copy the movie files off of the dvd-rw I recorded them on to using the usb link, and I was able to watch them even without the dvd-rw in the drive, but i was unable to edit them. Windows movie maker didn?t allow me to, and Nero transfered the footage okay, but it created static and made everyone sound like little elves. I want to edit my footage, so help, please?
