got 50 mm for 700d

I got my 700d without the kit lens and with the 50 mm 100 bucks lens, but it seems to close in closed spaces so... i want something like a 24 mm for my ef mount. I don't wanna cross the 150 buck range, is the best option try to get the 18-55 kit lens now? or is there something else i can try?

Nod to the kit lens.

While I like "the nifty fifty" it may be too restrictive for some. That is, I find many new photogs to not want to step back and forth to get the shot. The kit lens might be the usual 18-55 which covers a lot of shooting without changing lens. Now while I have another camera I went for 3 lens. I used all 3 on the recent road trips. Here they are.

1. Kit 18 to 55 lens.
2. A fine 40.
3. A zoomy 55 to 250 lens with IS.
