I find many get upset when videos don't play without transcoding. It's no PC.
Just a few days ago Woot had this for the right price.

Unless you know Android and the issue I noted, I'd be sure to get a clear answer about return options.

So I've never bought a tablet before and I'm trying to decide between these two. I know the reviews favor the specs on the Nexus, but I don't know if they really apply to me as I'm not a hardcore user. Here's my user profile:
Want something for watching previously downloaded, not streamed movies while traveling.
Do not need it to use a cellular network.
Use it for casual, wi-fi based web browsing (email, facebook, sports news) while traveling so I can leave the laptop at home.
Will not be used for work.
Not a hardcore gamer, only simple apps like Angry Birds or online poker.
I like the fact that the Galaxy has the microSD slot. That makes it easier to store a ton of movies. While the only option to increase memory on the Nexus would be to get a microUSB to full USB adapter and use a thumb drive.
So I guess it comes down to this, as first time tablet owner, who will not be using the tablet for the most intensive purposes, would I really even notice or care about the lower specs of the Galaxy? Throw in the ease of having a microSD slot, as opposed to dangling an adapter and thumb drive off the side, would the Galaxy fit my needs better?
