Google "Find My Device" Does Not Work on iPhone Browsers

Google/Android "Find My Device" works fine on my Macbook with both Safari and Firefox to locate a MotoG Android. But on my iPhone 6 Plus (iOS11.2.1) Safari or Firefox, it never moves beyond the country map screen. In other words, it never locates the Android phone. It just states that it's contacting the phone and never changes that screen.
I found other posts online with the same issue accessing "Find My Device" from browsers on other types of phones as well, not just iPhones.
I'd appreciate help.

Just in case.

Did you or others try it on the Chrome Browser?

No. I don't use Chrome.

Then you have something new to try.

It works for most, so it's a mystery why yours doesn't,
