Google Code Search - Nice! ;-)

by Skeeteron_mypeter / October 4, 2006 8:27 PM PDT

Dear Buzz Out Loud Gang,
Those people at Google have release a new search tool that will allow you to search software code. Essentially, you can type in a line or a few lines of code and the search tool will search for relevant software code that matches what you typed in.

My Opinion: It is an interesting tool and I found it useful for most common software codes. I was unsuccessful in getting it to search APL software algorithms. This is probably because APL uses Boolean characters for commands.

So far...I like Google Code Search. Wink

Nice but still populating code base

I did a couple of quick tests. Looks like it going to be really handy. Quick test results suggest the web crawler still has a lot to traverse.

regexp search capability is awesome.

I like it so far, but it needs more in their database to get really useful. I tested it this morning and it even found some of my code out there I totally forgot about.

It's google, so if they continue to build it, I will come.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
