Question

Google Chrome pop-up

Dec 27, 2013 7:00AM PST

When I open my Google Chrome browser, an annoying request from Driver update pops up, wanting me to update my w-7 drivers. How do I remove this message?
Chrome is the only browser it pops up in...
Thanks!
Sam

Something else to try

Something else to try before resorting to the functional equivalent of the nuclear option. Just go into your Chrome Extension list and look for anything related to this driver update site or program or whatever and disable/delete it.

I edited out the link in which he spams his blog. But it's better to try Jimmy's suggestion first.

Try resetting your Chrome Browser

do the following
Reset your browser settings:

1. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu on the browser toolbar.
2. Select Settings.
3. Click Show advanced settings and find the "Reset browser settings" section.
4. Click Reset browser settings.
5. In the dialog that appears, click Reset.

Remember to backup all your bookmarks first before you do reset otherwise you loose those bookmarks!

Hope this helps

Cheers
Anthony
