May 27, 2010 1:05AM PDT

Dell Optiplex GX270
XP Home Edition 2002,SP2
Pentium(R) 4 3.00GHz 2.99GHz
4GB (3.62GB) RAM
Internet Explorer 7
Firefox 3.5
80GB WD HDD NTFS formated
Avast 5 and PC Tools Threatfire
This is a Shared computer my Administrator Account is named "Do Not Use"
and the Limited account is named "Us" .The Administrator account is for installations only and rarely used for browsing, my problem is Google Chrome is not shared,it's only on the the administrator account(Do Not Use)and not in the limited account "Us". I also have Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 3.5 which can be used on any account. The last thing I did was to uninstall Chrome created another account then reinstall Chrome and still no Chrome on the Limited accounts .In the admin account I right click the Chrome icon>Properties where the Target is

C:\Documents and Settings\Do Not Use\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

Start in:"C:\Documents and Settings\Do Not Use\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Chrome\Application"

I use Firefox but I like Chrome now and would like to use Chrome on the Limited account, any suggestions

Bob ,this is it,I visited the link page to realized that I'm not the only person with this problem,I then applied the given tips and still no results BUT what worked was my system is NTFS formatted where the limited account could only download and save and not install BUT I downloaded and saved and RUN the Chrome Installer all on the limited account and it worked, can you or anyone explain why it did? Chrome is working BUT Run and Installed all on a Limited account ???? Oh and the administrator account is not password protected as yet.

I had a problem using Google Chrome on multiple accounts now I can use Chrome on multiple accounts here's how first DELETE Google Chrome off from the system then install Google Apps then re-install Google Chrome this is what was done now I do not have to only use the Administrator Account to use Google Chrome it us now Shared on all accounts with only one Download and installation and not multiple Download and installation,I hope this would help
