Question

Google Chrome loses Tabs - all of them

Aug 5, 2011 11:23AM PDT

I usually have a lot of tabs and pinned tabs open for quick viewing. I
checked off the "Remember my tabs from last time" option. Usually it'd
be good and remember them, but the odd time it would lose all my tabs -
pinned included - which irritated me. The thing I noticed is that on my
PC it doesn't seem to do that and it remembers all the time, even when
it updates silently in the background, but for some reason on my laptop
the odd time it will just start up with the homepage. I've researched
this on the net for the past hour and I've found people that had the
same issue, but nothing recently. Or I've found it, but questions just
haven't been answered. Do you know what's up with that?

Just some guesses.

1] Does Chrome clear history on exit?

2] Are you using some "History and Cookie Cleaner" utility, like CCleaner or similar?

Settings & Programs

1] It does not clear history
2] I do not have any such program installed. To further add on to this, I also have Firefox installed and it never does this.

..for now Mark. The only thing I can think of is that there is some kind of software on my laptop that isn't on my PC that's making it forget the tabs upon startup sometimes, but somehow only affects Chrome and not Firefox...

If something comes up it'd be great if this mystery could be solved for the both of us.
