Question

Google Chrome Behaving erratically

May 15, 2016 1:38PM PDT

Hey guys, So since yesterday I'm having a huge issue with Chrome.

1. YouTube videos load fast but thumbnails of other videos are not displayed
2. YouTube home page itself takes a long time to load or respond (Once more many thumbnails of videos and other users in the comments section only appear here and there)
3. Some websites do not load (Connecting) at all or takes a long time to load and respond.
4. The problem does not appear in Internet Explorer but appears sometimes on Firefox

However at times it all seems to work fine but the problem keeps persisting and is becoming a great headache for me.

Here’s what I tried to do
1. Disable plugins – did not work
2. Disable extensions – did not work
3. Empty the cache – did not work
4. Delete the cache and the rest of browsing history completely – did not work
5. Went to Chrome settings/System and unchecked use hardware acceleration when available - did not work
6. Used CMD as an administrator and typed netsh winsock reset and restarted the machine – worked for about 30 mins but the problem once more came back
7. Used CMD as an administrator and typed netsh winsock reset and netsh int ip reset and restarted the machine – this time did not work at all
8. Reset the wireless modem manually – did not work
9. Created a new wireless connection – did not work
10. Disabled Anti-Virus/ Firewall – did not work
11. Uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled – did not work
12. Uninstalled Chrome and reinstalled an older version – did not work

Honestly, I’m really tired of trying to fix this problem. It would be great if someone could help me out.

RESET Chrome to defaults?

Not reinstall, but RESET. Have you checked for malware?

Malware? Hmmm

Can you recommend me a good program. Since my Anti-Virus is not really picking up anything. I also have installed Anti-spyware. However my Malwarebytes program is a bit out of date.

-I have reset chrome. It's something I forgot to put on the list of things I tried.

-I tried the wired option but it still not working

-System restore on the other hand is giving me another headache as I've tried restoring the system to more than 3 restore points before the 15th but ends up giving me this error saying system restore was not successful as it could not access a file try disabling anti-virus. So "tadaaa" I did that. Still the same error. Uninstalled the anti-virus and firewall still the same error. *Close to bashing the laptop*

-Created a new windows account seem to work but when using it the problem once more comes up. And it was a good thing I used it before copying all those files from my previous user account which would *sigh* take me a lifetime to accomplish.

I dunno I'm stumped and tired.

Why won't you work! You %)(U%)#(@U%_(U#_%(%@&%)@%30#(!%)(#*%(-

I dunno

I'm currently using Windows 7. Is there a reset function for that? The thing is to be honest I really don't want to reinstall entire windows for only this issue. Getting the system back to my preferred level would take me a long time (too long, weeks, maybe months). But the thing is there has to be something that's causing this I just can't seem to figure it out. I'm usually very positive when it comes computer issues since I always figure it out. And I have resolved much more trickier problems except just like herpes it just keeps coming back.

I did a thorough scan of my system using Malwarebytes and there were about 200 issues detected, unfortunately resolving them has not stopped this issue. Should I contact my Internet Service Provider?

Kinda Working

The thing is 2 days ago the problem started to appear in IE as well. But somehow since yesterday the problem has somewhat stopped in both IE and Chrome. But I'm not sure if it has stopped for good. So i want to give it some time and see.

hello friends, Google chrome is nice browser.and it is very fast browser generally used for google chrome I got this pop up from chrome's tool tab or whatever its called however nothing seems to be wrong with my chrome. Should I be worried?I would think that as long as everything is working properly there's nothing to worry about, but please correct me if I'm wrong.
