Are you making shortcuts for web sites then placing those shortcuts onto the Desktop?
If so, and if the shortcut hides the Google toolbar, just move the shortcut to a different area of the Desktop.
Not sure what you mean by, "so I can go back to the former page". Perhaps I missed something here?

When I create a shortcut(in their "approved way"(using the control) for current page. The desktop shortcut I make then hides the Google toolbar,so I can go back to the former page, etc. Any idea how I can correct this?
