Good video games?

Jun 28, 2006 7:45AM PDT

I've just gotten a new Mac laptop, and I want a video game to go with it. Something with good graphics, since that's what the computer is best at. Unfortunently, all the good ones that are well known I've already played for PC (Age of Mythology, Warcraft and Starcraft, Civilization, etc). Any suggestions for a game?

Re: Video Games and Macs

I don't have a mac at this time, but there are some pretty decent titles for it. If I still had my Mac and wanted to game on it... I would go to this site: http://www.macgamestore.com or I would use google.com and search for ''Macintosh video games'. Good luck.

I am assuming that you just got a Macbook, or a Macbook Pro, both are suitable for gaming, although the Macbook Pro has a better video card. While PC's do have a vast more majority of games, the Mac has recently started to have more as well, since the markets are shifting. Unreal Tournament 2004, World of Warcraft (MMORPG), Homeworld is a game I like on my mac, as well as Tiger Woods Tournament, These are just a few for suggestion. Now keep in mind, if you do in fact have a newer mac, then you can install Windows Xp (Bootcamp) and run any game that a Pc could, and to be honest, they run very well, not like the old Virtual PC method.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (KOTR) of course.

Call of Duty 2, of course.

And if you're into text based games (MUDs), I find Savitar to be a very acceptable Mac client.
