Good video card compatible with DFI LanParty Dk P35-T2RS mob

Would appreciate recommendations for a good video card compatible with a DFI LanParty Dk P35-T2RS mobo. Others have recommended an 8800 GT but I'm not into heavy gaming. Do I need that card or are there others that would provide good video at a lower price?
My build: Antec 900 case; Intel E8400@3.0GHz; OCZ Reapers (2x2GB); DFI Lanparty Dk P35-T2RS mobo; Corsair 620 watt PS; two Samsung SATA HDs @ 500GBs each; two Samsung SATA dvd burners.
Appreciate your assistance.

Thanks for the info. I notice that both of your recommendations are for cards with 128MB. Any noticeable advantage to look at 256MB cards?
Or are they not compatible with my DFI LanParty mobo?

Forgot to mention my OS is XP SP3.

Please disregard my first reply. I misread the information about the cards and should have seen that "128" refers to bits.

Video card connection to monitor

In reply to: any geforce 8500 or radeon hd3650 series for $60 will do

The PNY geForce 8500GT Video Card has a DVI port and a VGA port. So does my Acer Monitor. Regarding a connection between the two components this newbie would like to know:
1. In terms of video quality is there any difference in connecting
card to monitor - DVI to DVI versus VGA to VGA?
2.Is it even feasible to connect from video card DVI to monitor DVI
and if so is there a cable one can buy for this purpose?
3. Having asked that, what are recommendations for the proper
Thanks to one and all for replies to these questions.
