good pc speakers?

hey, sorry to be vague, but im interested in buying a new speaker system for my pc. i use my pc for games/watching films.
im really lost when it comes to audio technology, iv read lots of reviews but theyr all from 2006, could anyone tell me what the top pc sound systems are, or if spending a lot of money on one is worth the gain in sound quality.
also is that 'razor mako' any good?
