Good Mobile Messaging on iPhone - which data plan do I need?

Oct 21, 2010 6:42AM PDT

Hello,

My employer is going to get me a license to have Good Mobile Messanging on my iPhone 4 so that I can access my work email. Will Good Mobile Messaging work with my $30 unlimited data plan, or will I have to upgrade my data plan to a $45 enterprise data plan? My IT guy seems to think I'll have to upgrade to the enterprise data plan.

Thank you!

If your company uses an Exchange Server,

the iPhone can access the mail without any other assistance.

Not sure about the data plan change though.

If the account's in your name...

...and not in the company's or administrators name you can do fine with a less expensive personal data plan and wouldn't have to bump up to the enterprise price. AFAIK ATT is not enforcing this yet.

Once you've got it going your admin can assist you with the correct exchange mail settings for your iPhone.
