Hello, there will be 3 options for you..
Good: Azden SMX-10 Stereo Condenser Microphone - Cheap and effective, but the lack of a solid shock protection system leaves you with many of the problems you started with.
Better: Cannon SM-V1 5.1 Channel Surround Microphone - Excellent sound quality, but price and lack of features keep it in a definite second.
Best: Rode VideoMic Video Condenser Microphone - Best overall bang for your buck. Exclusive features coupled with attractive pricing make the VideoMic the best choice overall.
But I would recommend you the Canon SM-V1 5.1 Channel Surround Microphone that suits to your budget..check this site http://www.canonvixiamicrophone.com/category/canon-vixia/ for more info. Hope this helps
Hello, I have a Canon Vixia HF20, and was wondering what mic I should get? My price range is between $50 and $100 for a good external mic. My main need for external audio is for interviews and recording soccer games (so good ambience and crowd noise is needed as well).
As of right now, I do not have any XLR converters, but am willing to get one if needed. But, I have seen external mics that go right into the camera without an XLR converter.
Any thoughts, and should I get more than one microphone??
