Good experience with Firefox over IE

Sep 28, 2004 6:11AM PDT

I tried to download a couple of MS Knowlege Base articles via IE. All I could get on my screen was the title to the articles, not the body, and that after a considerable waiting period. Then, I tried to download Everest, the successor to Aida32, again via IE. After I clicked the initial dialog asking if I wanted to open the file for download, nothing else happened. I switched to Firefox, and the download went fine. grandpaw

Hi,

I also like Firefox, it's a VERY GOOD browser, unforntunately many sites I visit REQUIRE IE and do not display properly without IE 5.5+, not sure why that is, IF I could visit every site "properly" with Firefox, IE would be off this machine in a heartbeat believe me.

Steve, you need IE...

For Windows Updates. I use Firefox almost all time... like it! But do keep IE for Windows Updates and those few sites Firefox will not load.

Not sure if this will work for you, but.

There is an extention that is available to "view pages as IE".

Bill,

I did a google search for that extension, do you have a URL I can download it from easily?

Thanks,

Steve
