Sony, Olympus, Panasonic all make good ones but it may be difficult to find a digi for 50 bucks, cassettes are cheaper. Most of the decent digital units run a bit more, 75.00 and up and more if they include PC link capability.
So I'm going off to college this fall and I really want something to record important lectures and things like that. I've done some research and think that solid state recorders might be the best option, but I want one for less than $50. It doesn't need to sound amazing at all, I just want something that will record better than 8hz audio.
I also don't care about xlr inputs or signal boosters. Just something basic with a microphone.
For all I know this could be impossible. Oh, and I leave for college in a week. Thanks.
