Additionally, I participated in a thread this past August, where another member had similar concerns. After reading their original post, I downloaded and scanned the GOM Player with 3 different scanners. None of the three, detected a problem.
That said, I suggest the "detected" file be uploaded to Virus Total, to be absolutely sure it is (or isn't) a false positive. I recommended to the other member, to let Lavasoft know, if it turned out to be a false detection. I would suggest you do the same.

Downloaded GOM Player from your site this date 12-6-2010. Used your search engine for GOM Player. Ad-Aware Pro quarantined, Win32.worm.Viking/c. Just formatted computer 2 days ago to factory default. I see that this is not the first report about GOM Player. Should I be concerened about this worm?
