Go Video setup

I picked up an old Go Video DDV2001. It worked find for a couple weeks. Then I needed to rescan and I can no longer get to setup. The instructions say to hold down the menu button for 3 seconds to get setup. But all I can get is the menu. Anybody know anything about this?
