Question

Gmails Are Multiplying

Aug 19, 2014 3:06AM PDT

I have a MAC with OS X. My Gmails are multiplying like crazy in the "trash" box, "sent" box, etc. I have updated my software, but it is still happening. Can anyone help?

Answer
I'm going with no.

With all the spam out there, many of us see these move to the trash automatically and as such it's just a sign of the times and no error on our part.

I wonder if email is going to fail soon as the spammers make it less and less useful.

Answer
Could be someone is "borrowing" your account

Since it's all in the cloud, your options are limited. You should be able to read any bogus mail and verify that you had nothing to do with it. If you figure out your account has been hacked, you need to have Google get rid of the old one and get another for yourself.
