Question

Gmail issue: ALL incoming is being dumped into Trash

I have checked ALL my Settings, and nothing seems out of the ordinary

I have Googled and Binged and Gmail's Help for an answer, which all hits point to check this or that setting, which I have done, but I find nothing that should do this of dumping Incoming into Trash

I realize it sounds like a Filter, but nothing is Filtered

Basically, my Gmail Settings are those when I started

This weirdness stroke out of the blue

Re: Gmail

Gmail isn't a program. Gmail is an mail provider.

You can use that provider with any pop3-client (like Thunderbird, Outlook, Windows Live Mail) and any webbrowser (like Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox). What are you using?

How I use Gmail

I have a standard Gmail account
I have opened it in Chrome, IE, and FF in Windows 7
I still have this problem of Gmail sending messages I receive in the Inbox to Trash
When I go to settings, such as Filters, I see nothing unusual
I have also gone through Gmail Help how to resolve this problem, but the solutions presented are not needed, because I do not have this or that checked or unchecked
Settings, in short, seem basic and fine, yet what goes into the Inbox is sent to Trash
I can though move each email to the Inbox once the message is in Trash

I have read and tried these several times

If I am missing something, then it is hiding in plain sight
The only solution seems to be is to set up a new Google Account, then compare a virgin Gmail account against mine

Thank you

"Fresh eyes."

I too have had things happen like this. I know a setting should be this and I miss it. A fresh set of eyes usually finds it.

Alas, this is not available here

I thoroughly agree
Wish I could post a screen shot or some code
As I have said, I suspect the solution is hiding in plain sight

Solved the problem

Under Filters, there were strange filters (none dumping to trash) that were not clicked for activation
I deleted them anyway, and so far, I am no longer getting in mail dumped into trash
I am clueless why this filtration occurred
Oh, well, welcome to the Marvelous World of Computers where many, many issues flow in and out with a will of their own with my Gmail being the latest
Thanks

Answer
Dumping mails into Trash

Hi, I had the same problems a couple of days ago and I read many messages concerning this issue, but none helped. So I decided to do a recovery to a previous point in time. In the process of recover, the system told me that there had been 2 files installed without explicit installation. So clearly my system had viruses implanted that caused dumping mails into trash. So I recovered the system and to date, my gmail seems to be running as it should. Just for your information.
