It just occurred to me that the reason for the antenna problems on the iPhone 4 could have something to do with the iPhone prototype scandal with Gizmodo. When Apple found out about the prototype in the hand of the press, a logical reaction would be to get any similar prototypes out of the wild before more leaks occur. If this is the case, it could explain the blatant failure of the industrial design in the new iPhone's external antenna. If the iPhones were only shortly in the hands of the testers, then that could explain this unacceptable design flaw.
