It came packed with a manual.

I have that version and the quickstart guide it came with told me enough to get going.

BEWARE THAT THIS VERSION is now old and may screw up on drives over 127GB. Just so you know.

As to more information, you should try google.com

I am trying to attain the guide but this is for a computer on a network where I work and the program was given to me by the IT department along with a quick training session verbally. Hopefully they have the guide because I cannot for the life of me recall anything the guy said to me when he ran through it. It seemed rather easy and quick so maybe I can remember when I run the program. Thanks for your help.

Let's try this.

Since there are too many sites such as symantec.com that would have online product guides, FAQs, and I don't duplicate web content that you can find with google.com, try to narrow it down to ...

What do you need to do?

Rather than ask for a course in all this software can do.

Ok I am trying to create a ghost drive on a stand alone computer so that we can use it for army training exercises in the field. We basically just want to create an image. Nothing difficult.

That sounds like 2 things.

To create an image of the existing boot drive is ... run Ghost from the diskette and give it the drive c for the source and the other drive as the target. Bingo. Image. I won't supply step by step details since I no longer have Ghost 8 installed, but it's only a matter of selecting the make image item and telling it what to do.

The second statement is a little confusing. "create a ghost drive on a stand alone computer so that we can use it for army training exercises in the field."

The ghost drive would need "defining" since I can't use the ghost drive with the image for anything but restoring the machine from the image.
