Getting Wi-Fi calling working on a Galaxy S6 edge

i bought a phone and contract from Car Phone Warehouse on o2 due to appalling coverage I decided to change to EE what a mistake, on my S6 I was able with O2 to use Wi-Fi not so wth EE so here I am with no bars showing and unable to connect to Wi-Fi has anybody any ideas to rescue me, you should be careful what you wish for

If you are in a good hot spot area (don't laugh, I had a client trying to use WiFi and their home had no WiFi and they were confused since it worked at Starbucks.)

Next stop may be the carriers support counter to see what's broke or not setup.

I have been back to EE (I only did the deal on Monday) and they suggested a factory reset, but most people say that if you buy a phone (CPW) it will only work with that outlet and service provider ( in this case O2) I find it hard to accept that in view of all the wizardry around today anyway I shall keep trying

That is, I have run into folk that insist WiFi work without having WiFi at home.

I have spoken via Chat Line to EE and they are sending me a booster box
