I would like to rid myself of the need to hit "cancel" to complete boot up of my computer - is there any way to get rid of the prompt?

This usually does it...

1. Delete the .PWL files in C:\Windows
2. In the Network Control Panel, set the logon to Windows.
3. Reboot.
4. For the last time, type in a name, but do not touch the password box. Click OK.

One way to get rid of the bothersome microsoft network client log on box is to go to "Network" icon in the controll panel, or right click the "my network places" icon on your desktop, properties. Under the configuration tab highlight the "client for microsoft networks" line, remove it. Click the add button, choose "client" and choose "microsoft family logon". Click apply and OK (you may need your windows ME disc at this time) restart your computer and say goodbye to the logon request. This setting should not make any difference between your system and the internet.

I would like to get rid of 'Network Password' prompt when I start my computer. So I don't have to cancel it all the time to finish opening up my computer.
