Gerald,

I was wondering what you were up to as you did not make any posts recently.

Thought you'd gone on vacation or worse deserted us!

I too sometimes find it difficult to open any posts or forum.
The hour-glass sign would stay on and it'll take some time to open! Sad

Brings back bad memories of the old Forums!

The only good thing is the posts appear instantly. Wink

I wonder what would happen when all the various forums pick up more traffic as more people starts making use of them.

So it's not your fault.

Cheers.

Gerald,

For the connection problem you can try the fix in this link:
You Cannot Open New Internet Explorer Window or Nothing Happens After You Click a Link

As for Linux I have tried both Red Hat 8.0 & Mandrake 9.1.

I like both and found them very easy to multi-boot with Windows.

Mandrake even sets up the WiFi card for my Notebook to connect to my Linksys Router.

I am not too heavy into Linux but like to test things out.
Best part is you can D/L Red Hat or Mandrake or for that matter most other flavors of Linux FREE from their websites as long as you have a fast connection.

I use two PCs to simultaneously D/L the ISOs and leave them over night.

Have you installed Lindows yet?

I understand that running Windows apps is 'iffy' at best. Some versions of Office will run okay and some won't.

Could be but this seems to be the forum site as now it is working better but at times have to click several diff. times and then it will catch or retry will also work at times. I also noticed that when the forum first came on that the auto log would not work and now it is working fine all the time and recognizes so far when I come on line---Gerald
