Getting fed up with BitDefender Internet Security 2018

Feb 24, 2018 6:41AM PST

I had purchased BitDefender Internet Security 2018 going by the reports in AV-Comparitives and AVTEST websites. After I installed it my problems started from day one. I had raised an incident in end of Jan-2018 about Bitdefender updates not happening. They asked me to send some logs and also run a few network diagnostics. After that they felt silent and are no longer responding to my email requesting for update. And now the problem is that my Anti Virus definitions are farely dated and I am now concerned about the security of my laptop. I am seriously thinking of switching to Kaspersky or Mcafee. Does anybody have the same problem where Bit Defender support has been tardy or at the best non-responsive?

I Haven't Used A "Paid For" Antivirus In a Few Years
Feb 24, 2018 11:13AM PST

Sorry, I haven't used BitDefender in a long times and although our government agency used McAfee and Trend Micro, now that I'm retired, I don't use either one. Instead, all our computers here use Avira or Windows Defender which are free and are well rated on AV-Comparatives. Others like Avast, which is free also. It's worth a try.

Hope this helps.

Disappointing

Its disappointing when you spend so much time researching and believing that you made a right choice only to have to question all around you. I have been using only Windows Defender because its already there and I believe Microsoft still pays attention. If your online activity is just browsing and social networking Defender is perfectly fine.
