All write no as the disk content is locked, DRM'd and non-portable. I'm going to be short here since this is question with many prior discussions.
If you want Tivo content unlocked, you should not put it on a Tivo.
Have an old Tivo HD, >> 5 years old, which bit the dust yesterday. Seems like the system disk is broken.
I had bought a WD extender E-SATA HDD to add capacity. This HDD is still fine it seems.
Question: Are recordings stored on the extender HDD in such a way that I can connect this disk to a Mac or PC and offload and view them?
