Getting ATT email to work on OE

Sep 21, 2004 8:01AM PDT

I'm using ATT as my ISP. I've set up my ATT email accouont in OE and why I clicked synchronize OE downloaded messages from ATT. However, ATT doesn't show up on the folder list on the right, only OE and Hotmail. I wonder how I get ATT on that folder list so I can open its inbox? Thanks, grandpaw

Which one do you have set as default?

I use both Comcast and Prodigy. I have the Comcast set as defalut. After OE looks for Comcast email, it then looks for Prodigy email.

Coryphaeus, I have Hotmail set as my default right now, though I intend to change. But OE first looked for and downloaded my ATT calls and then my Hotmail Calls. However, ATT does not appear on the folder list along with OE and Hotmail, so that I do not know how I can see and open the messages it downloaded from ATT. I would have that thought that when I set up an OE account for ATT that ATT would automatically be listed in that folder list. Maybe I need to remove ATT and then add it again but I thought I'd see if anyone has a suggestion. grandpaw

When I go in OE to Tool>Accounts>Mail, both Hotmail and ATT are listed there.

I didn't realize that OE downloads the ATT mail to the OE Local Folder Inbox. I thought that there would be a separate inbox for ATT just as there is for Hotmail. grandpaw

You can't withdraw it. . .

Just kidding. Wink

That's the difference between web based and POP3 email. All your POP3 email will come into the same inbox. From there you can do what you want with it. I have a HotMail account but I just log into it from my browser, I don't have OE set to fetch it.
