DIY security versus the CNET Smart Home
It's geared toward a DIY security system, if that is what you are considering.
I personally use Vivint for my security system at home, but it is a paid security service and it works for me. I have a doorbell camera, additional interior and exterior cameras, keyless entry, fire alarm, thermostat controls, motion sensor, battery backup, in addition to cellular backup. I can monitor cameras from my phone and do all sorts of stuff through the Vivint phone app.
I hope this helps!
I’m looking to buy a new security system for my home. The earlier one was bought by my wife 7 years back. They had 5 years guarantee and it worked perfectly well for those 5 years. But after 5 years, there were many complaints and issues and we had to spend a lot of money on it. So this time we are going to be extra careful, we’ll only be looking to buy one after looking through reliable sites for affordable cameras. What kind of a system would be good for a 2 bedroom house. I am not so fond of the locality so I also need to monitor the driveway and the surroundings.
