After folks remove this pest they best set winupd to manual other wise they'll just get it back again.
Users of Win7 and Win8x will have on the tray area, the Win10 logo for the update. If you don't care for the update and just wish to be rid of it, do the following:
1) do a MS un-install in the add/remove pgms/apps(UPDATE) list

Be aware that the update may come back but MS has changed the status from "recommended" to "important" but is now back to "recommended". I suggest you read the [README file] as well. Also, if you weren't aware the GWX.exe file is the Win10 pgm. found in the task manager area is what prompts the Win10 update.
The "I don't want Win10" de-installer works for both 32/64bit based OSes. As always back-up or save critical data as a safeguard.
