Question

Get rid of the beeping!!!

Feb 14, 2012 11:15PM PST

My iPad does an irritating alert sounding--beep,beep, beep, beep--twice in a row, and then no more sound. My iPad is OFF, and I thought it might be indicating a new email. That doesn't seem to be the case. There is no pattern to the timing--could be p.m. or a.m. A couple times a day or nothing. Is there something in my settings that I can turn off to get rid of this beeping in the middle of the night--and daytime?

Some possibilities:
1) How long since you recharged the iPad? Try recharging it using supplied data cable/power converter
2) Turn off all Notifications in Settings/Notifications
3) Open Settings/About. If your Version is not 5.01, update to latest version.

iPad beeping
Feb 28, 2012 6:26AM PST

Thanks for your response. My iPad2 is charged, I've turned off all notifications, there are no new notifications--according to the message I pull down from the top of the screen. But, there is still an occasional beep, beep, beep, beep. Not nearly as many as before, but once in a while. So I can live with it. Until I hear those beeps. But not as bothersome as before. Thanks for your help.
