Question

Get monitor size

Nov 12, 2013 8:17PM PST

We are developing one graphic based software. We need monitor details of our customers. How to find the active monitor in EDID (`HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\DISPLAY `) registry or by any other methods?
And also we need the monitor size as Hight, width and maximum image size. And also how can we get active monitor model number? We used Nirsoft Monitorinfoview. But no source available for this.
So please let us know if any other solutions available

in Windows, some real estate is used for title bar and taskbar. Surely is a Windows API to tell you the size of the current window.

And then, of course, there's the occasional user with 2 monitors of different sizes (a wide-screen laptop while working on a 4:3 monitor) or those 2 monitors configured as one very big one (being able to move the mouse from the one to the other).
