Maybe you meant cycling?
by R. Proffitt Forum moderator / October 28, 2015 11:42 AM PDT

There are many prior complaints of inputs cycling, volume going up or down, channels changing continuously (up or down) and the common reason is a stuck button on the TV.

I won't link anything but there are a lot of prior posts about many models and unplugging the board that has the buttons on it to temporarily fix it till it can be serviced.

As this may expose fatal voltages to the tech, no one advises folk to do this today.

I checked the tv buttons...it's fine and working also but input source options are not going...

Tell me how you checked those buttons?

You can't test them with a DVM or by pressing them. I have to unplug that board to be sure. Remember I opted to not link to priors on this subject as there are so so many.

Too many priors on this. Your choice on the next step. No where did I write to unplug/remove a controller chip.

I have a question here. Are you googling this old issue?

In reply to: yeah

So I didn't link them. The most common being Samsungs only because the market share is so high. Also known as the "button board" we unplug that to be sure.

There is also some cases where HDMI CEC messes up so for that we unplug all HDMI sources from CEC capable ports.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
