Is to get the warranty from Dell. They have the parts and the last time I read the warranty, if they could not repair the laptop they would replace it.

-> The other warranties read something else and mind you that I only read it a year ago but it read like this.

"In the event the device can not be repaired (parts, etcs) the insurer will at it's option can refund the warranty fees."

Owner explodes at this point as they have a dead machine and a little cash back.

Read your warranty as it changes over time and location. I can't do this for you because a) I'm not there and b) the one here isn't the one you are buying.

---> Here, where I am, it's not allowed to not show the terms and conditions of a warranty (that's a contract) until after purchase. THAT ALONE would have me walk. (that is, no sale!)
