Geek Squad Stole $200 from me

Jul 18, 2015 1:43PM PDT

I had a virus issue on my old laptop, took it to geek squad at 44nd and 5th Ave and two weeks later the hard drive failed. During the trip to 44nd and 5th they basically sold me on the anti-virus and software tech service. I purchased a new laptop with was working fine, but when I update from windows 8 to windows 8.1 the wifi kept dropping and since the laptop was still under warranty I called and the company said that it was not a hardware issue it was software (Dec 2014), so I got an email to renew my software tech program with Geek Squad and I said I would let them fix the wifi drive. Well two days later I get an email to call the stock on 62nd and Broadway that my laptop didn’t pass the hardware test and they are trying to recover my information on the drive. I told her I have SMART on my laptop and I just ran a scan and there was nothing wrong with my hard drive and this is the second hard drive they have crashed in two years.
