Geek moment - Treo 650, meet PINE

Mar 15, 2006 9:47AM PST

As I'm sitting down in my seat to fly back from Austin this morning, I look over and the person next to me is running an SSH client on a Treo 650. When I asked him about it, he says that they're very security conscious at his company so he runs the client and logs into the server and uses PINE to check his mail over the Treo.

Well it worked, I'll give it that. Totally forgot about PINE. Pretty basic and when I got my first HTML message while using PINE, I knew it was time to change.

Thats the one reason I found it hard to use, BUT, if it was just a regular "text message" it worked REALLY well. You could actually have a conversation via email, especially if you knew the keyboard commands really well (which, of course, you had to know! lol)
