GE A1030 digital camera

I brought this camera today and when I went to download the software that came with the camera my computer won't download it. I never had a digital camera before so I have no clue what to do.I did email the company early. If I had known I would have trouble with a digital,I would have stayed with a 35mm instead.

GE makes cameras?

In reply to: GE A1030 digital camera

Don't go back to 35mm, but if you continue having problems then you might look at taking it back. I say that, because GE is not known to make good cameras, actually I didn't know they even did and I'm a camera nut.

GE Digital Camera

The GE cameras have been out for over a year and so far none of the major reviewers have reviewed any of the GE cameras.
So they are an unknown.
Their software is even more unknown.

But not to worry.

I don't use any of the software that comes with my cameras.
It is much simpler to just buy a card reader for your computer.
You can find a SD card reader for around $10 at any store that sells digital cameras. If you are using Windows XP or Vista or a MAC, the card reader drivers are included in the computer Operating System.

Card Reader

In reply to: I have xp

Many (but not all) computers come with card readers.
If you have a desk top computer, it will be located on the front of the computer.
Usually located where the floppy disk would be.

If you have a lap top computer, it could be located in the sides, front, or back.

If you don't find one, you can buy a card reader that plugs into any of your USB connectors.
